UPTET Result 2026 Announced: 62 Thousand Candidates Fail, Check Paper 1 and Paper 2 Results
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 results for more than 19 lakh candidates. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check and download their UPTET 2026 Paper 1 and Paper 2 results and scorecards from the official websites, updeled.gov.in and upessc.up.gov.in. Candidates will need their login details to access the result.
A total of 19,94,661 candidates appeared for the UPTET 2026 exam. The examination was conducted over three days in five shifts. As the exam took place in different shifts. The UPTET 2026 exam was held on July 2, 3 and 4 at 955 examination centres across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

UPTET Paper 1 Result 2026
For the primary-level exam covering Classes 1 to 5, a total of 7,13,648 candidates appeared. Out of them, 5,71,435 candidates qualified. The overall pass percentage for the primary-level examination was 80.07 per cent.

UPTET Paper 2 Result 2026
For the upper primary-level exam for Classes 6 to 8, 10,57,021 candidates appeared. A total of 7,59,513 candidates cleared the examination. The pass percentage for this level was 71.85 per cent.
The result also includes the performance of teachers who are already working and appeared for the eligibility test. At the primary level, 1,22,405 working teachers appeared for the exam, while 93,387 candidates qualified. Their pass percentage was 76.29 per cent.
At the upper primary level, 1,46,394 working teachers appeared. Of these, 1,13,384 candidates qualified, giving a pass percentage of 77.45 per cent.

UPTET Provisional Answer Key
The UPTET 2026 result was released after the completion of the answer key review process. UPESSC had issued the provisional answer key on July 8, 2026.
The commission accepted objections against the provisional answer key from July 8 to July 14. Candidates were allowed to challenge any answer they believed was incorrect.
